About

Any time I start researching and learning something new, then develop content about that topic, I lose track of time. That’s my “zone.” As a former educator, I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into something that makes sense to help engage readers.

We all want our words to be heard. I’ve always wanted to write books—words in a book that someone else would read and enjoy. Even better, words that would benefit the reader in some way.

At first, I had no idea what topics I might write about. My master teacher invited me to review her resource materials to get ideas for my future classroom. As I browsed, my dream became more tangible: I would write a teacher resource book.

Earlier, while completing an internship, a teacher handed me a binder of writing samples and asked me to teach writing skills based only on those samples. My challenge was to develop the content the students needed to learn.

This experience, developing content in an engaging format, led to a published book… and another, and another.

Over time, writing teacher resources expanded into writing a variety of educational and study materials in many subject areas.

My content development experience includes:

  • writing teaching guides
  • creating learning activities
  • writing lessons
  • creating interactive experiences for learners
  • researching and writing fiction and nonfiction articles and passages for student reading and comprehension
  • researching and writing fiction and nonfiction leveled readers on engaging and informational topics for children
  • creating infographics
  • creating study guides
  • writing workbooks
  • developing English language learner and international materials
  • aligning content to subject matter standards
  • researching and writing about a wide range of topics in language arts, math, science, and social sciences

How can I help you develop curriculum and activities for your home school student?
